RECOMMENDATION
Treat sagging and fat deposits on the inner thighs. Excessive deposits may occur, causing friction when walking. Patients with weight loss and advancing age may have leftover skin in this area.
TECHNIQUE
Incisions are placed around the groin downward to the back of the tight and, when necessary, they go down to the knee in its inner part. The extent depends on the amount of skin and excess of fat to be removed. The upper scar is fixed on the deep fascia of the muscles, next to the groin, in order to prevent its descent.
ANESTHESIA
Local anesthesia with sedation or epidural block. Duration of 2 to 3 hours, with subsequent outpatient observation for 4 to 6 hours.
AFTER-CARE PROCEDURE
Home rest for the first 7 to 10 days.
Physical exercises only after 45 to 60 days.
Limit and restrict opening movements on the medial aspect of the thighs. Walk and climb stairs carefully during the first 20 days.
Compressive garments of lower limbs during 30 days.
